Introduction

This toolkit provides consistent messages and template assets to support public and staff facing communication to support the South Yorkshire wide Medicines Waste campaign, launched June 2025 by NHS South Yorkshire.

Included within this toolkit is public and staff facing newsletter copy, suggested social media posts and creatives to help support the campaign.

Medicines Waste campaign

NHS South Yorkshire have been running an initial Medicines Waste campaign solely in Sheffield since July 2024. Now, the campaign is set to be rolled out across all of South Yorkshire after initial success in Sheffield. The toolkit has been developed for our regional health and care partners to help share the campaign through relevant communications channels, including social media accounts, websites and any internal/external bulletins.

The content of this toolkit can be adapted by all our health and care partners to suit the needs of your organisation.
